After years of fiddling with smudged eyeliner, Annalot (41) is done with it.
"Hey, you've got a black eye," a friend says to me, a bit startled, when we bump into each other unexpectedly at a party. In a reflex I scrub my eyelids with my fingers, because I immediately know what time it is. No, I haven't been hit, I haven't run into anything:my eyeliner has taken on a life of its own again. As often happens lately. The tight black line that I carefully applied above my eyes in the morning, turns into a messy stain during the day. Times two. And what I got away with when I was twenty, I now look like someone with a black eye.
Annalot decides that evening that she is done with it. She has a permanent line drawn above her eyes. Goodbye panda look. Are you curious how the permanent eyeliner suits her? You can read Annalot's story this month in Santé.
