Studies show that your preference for a scent changes with age. The American Sense of Smell Institute found that teens opt for cupcake sweet, twenties succumb to luxury designer fragrances and thirties prefer to spray with sensual scents to feel sexy. People over forty often prefer strong scents. Due to the diminishing sense of smell, they smell subtle odors less well.
