You probably enjoy going to the sauna – otherwise you probably wouldn't be reading this post. At least in foreign saunas you can sometimes perceive unpleasant odors. Sauna scents can counteract this. But also, in the home sauna, fragrant concentrates, which improve well-being during the infusion, have their place.
Which sauna aroma you prefer is, on the one hand, a personal decision, on the other hand, the individual scents are supposed to have a special effect. Lemon, birch and orange have a stimulating effect, while lavender, vanilla and lilac soothe. Fir, chamomile and juniper should be breath-free, and bamboo should have a good effect on skin and hair. Ultimately, though:No matter what effect a product should have, it's important to know what you think about it.
The right one for everyone
It should of course be noted that not everyone has the same taste. While you may find individual sauna scents extremely fragrant and beneficial, others may find them uncomfortable or even gross. Which scent you prefer is of course also a matter of everyday form – after a hard day at work you will probably prefer a soothing scent rather than a stimulating one. But of course, it's your decision.
Sauna fragrances come in a concentrate form, which is diluted with water. Depending on your taste, add 5 to 30 ml to 1 liter of water. The infusion is otherwise as usual. Incidentally, sauna odors evaporate without leaving a residue and do not disintegrate on the skin. Have you become curious? Then you improve with a fragrance, but simply the next visit to the sauna.
