BeBio is always looking for fun conscious locations. In the middle of the Amsterdam Pijp, Eke Noordhoek Hegt has a beauty salon Ekelogical where you feel right at home. A homely beauty salon with respect for people, animals and nature. We only work with organic products with natural ingredients such as Esse and African Organics.
Versatile salon
At Ekelogical you can go for beauty treatments and massages. But you can also have your makeup and hair done. In addition to being a beautician, Eke is also a make-up artist &hairstylist. She also gives workshops on how to get the best out of your make-up and how to apply make-up in the most beautiful way. “You'll be surprised to learn that many women have no idea how to use makeup in the best and most beautiful way and that small changes can make a big difference,” says Eke. The workshop is also a fun activity for a group of friends on a Saturday evening before heading out into town for a night out. For women who wear no make-up at all, there is also a hair styling workshop.
A household name nearby
Ekelogical has been around for 1 year now and has conquered its place in the neighbourhood. ‘In the beginning I was not that busy and I often sat outside in front of my salon. That's how I got to know the people in the area, says owner Eke. She is proud of her own salon. Everything is exactly the way she wants it to be. She has a specific vision of how everything should look and wants everything to radiate that extra something. You can see this in her sign found on Marktplaats and the creative business cards from which a dressing table rises when you open them. She's coming up with another fun idea for gift cards. “It should be more than just a voucher. It must be a gift in itself.' Her ambition is to continue to grow with her salon and to develop further in the field of hair and make-up and workshops.
