oily hair are difficult to live with on a daily basis because they give you the image of a neglected person. However, it is simply the result of a natural process. Among the causes of this imbalance:heredity, bad eating habits, taking certain medications or unsuitable hair care. Here are some tips to fix it.
To do
- Use translucent shampoos and avoid creamy products.
- From time to time, eliminate excess sebum from your hair and scalp with a treatment clay mask, available in pharmacies or parapharmacies. Clay absorbs large amounts of sebum; it is therefore ideal for combating greasy hair.
- Wash your hair in the morning. The sebaceous glands are particularly active at night.
- Use only lukewarm water. Hot water stimulates sebum production.
Don't
- Oily hair makes the scalp particularly sensitive. Avoid irritating it further by using the hair dryer too often. Braids, buns or too tight headgear are also to be avoided.
- Do not use a brush. The latter will only distribute the sebum throughout the hair, from roots to ends. A comb is more than enough.
- Do not use hair conditioner. Oily hair does not need as much care as dry hair.
