A young designer has managed to transform blocks of wood into delicate fabrics to make rugs, bedspreads, tablecloths or even a whole line of clothing.
Usually used in the manufacture of furniture or coatings for floors or walls, wood finds with Elisa Strozyk a whole new surprising use. This German designer had the idea of using this noble material to be used in the manufacture of a new range of totally innovative textiles. After dozens of tries, the young woman ended up opting for cherry and maple wood in order to create the textile material she wanted to obtain.
She then uses a laser to cut small pieces of veneer 0.6 mm thick which she then glues to a thin layer of fabric. This unique concept allows him to make all sorts of things like large pieces of fabric used for bedspreads or even accessories and fashion clothes. Totally out of the ordinary, we only want one thing:that the promising invention of this young designer will soon appear on the fashion and home market.
