Before embarking on any major hairstyle changes, you can test out your look with our
makeover app. Crafting a twisted bun, like all hairstyles, requires a bit of preparation and the right equipment. Prefer the use of a round brush to detangle the hair and a fine comb to divide the hair. Plan some rubber bands and many hair clips. It is best to have two kinds of clips available, the famous bun clips and the flat clips, also called "Kirby". Finally, you also need a good hairspray to texturize the hair, hold the hairstyle in place and perfect the hold of your twisted bun.
To achieve a beautiful twisted bun, be sure to untangle your hair. Then draw a side parting. Then, gather your hair into a ponytail. The height of the ponytail determines the height of the bun. If your hair is very long, choose a low ponytail to prevent the weight of the hair from destroying your hairstyle. Twist your hair the full length of the ponytail, twisting the hair around your index finger in a continuous motion following the same direction. Wrap the resulting twist around the base of your ponytail and attach a few bun clips. Finally, tie the bun with a last rubber band. Spray a little hairspray to set it all together.
Another trendy version of the twisted bun is to inject a bit of romance into your hairstyle. Divide your hair into three parts. Then twist, one after the other, the locks on each side of the face. Twist them, while bringing them towards the back of the head. Fix the hair well with kirby clips. Finally, twist all the hair into a single bun. This variation of the twisted bun is very romantic with a headband.
