Resin (formulated with pine resin) is the most common type of wax. It adheres well to the skin and pulls out short hairs (from 1.5 mm). It is found in different forms:cold, warm or hot, on fabric strips, in pots, in roll-ons, in institutes and in supermarkets. If necessary, it is removed with a fatty substance (oil, for example).
Clear. This is the "classic" wax.
Traditional, it is used in the countries of the Maghreb and the Middle East. It is a natural caramel, made from
sugar, water and lemon, which is rinsed with water. Less adherent than resin, it is effective on hair from 3 mm.
Big advantage:it is less allergenic and, as it is applied warm (and not hot), it is perfect for those who
have venous problems. This method of hair removal requires a specific gesture:the beautician forms a ball between her fingers, which she spreads over the area to be depilated before removing it with a sharp blow. There are also oriental waxes to use at
self, which rinse with water and are used with bands.
Clear. It is a natural sugar wax.
It is a long-lasting hair removal method that destroys the bulb by burning it, unlike classic hair removal (shaving
and cream), which removes the visible part of the hair, and that by pulling out (with wax or epilator), which removes the entire stem.
Two devices can be used to perform it:laser and pulsed light, with equivalent effectiveness (but more sessions are needed
with pulsed light). Good to know:under the influence of hormones, hair can grow back. This is why the only so-called permanent hair removal is electric, which is quite painful (an electric current destroys the bulb).
Clear. It is a very long-lasting hair removal, carried out by burning the bulb.
