Although the range of bags is very large, it appears that women remain loyal to their bag for a long time. More than a third of women only buy a new bag once or less than once a year. This is shown by research by Vente-Exclusive. But which bag does the woman most often succumb to? Of all the models, the handbag is the most popular with 36%, followed by the shoulder bag with 32%. The clutch is by far the least popular, with only 4%.
Not only is the choice endless when it comes to the type of bag, there are also countless brands on the market, each with their own unique offer. In the 'Fashion' category, Longchamp was voted favorite by 37% of the women, followed by Marc Jacobs with 23%. The price tag is also decisive during the purchase process. Research shows that 59% of women spend a maximum of € 50 to € 150 on her bag. Bags with a price tag above € 300,- therefore leave the majority to the left.
