The majority (91%) of women own at least one pair of jeans. On average, females own 7 pairs (1 in 4 own 10 or more), but they only wear 4 pairs on a regular basis. Thirty-one percent of women say they refuse to buy a larger size jeans, 50 percent stick to their pair of "skinny jeans" in the hope that they can wear them again, and 62 percent use their jeans as a measure that they need to lose weight. Women (54%) generally like the way they look in jeans. Forty percent of women admit they feel sexy in their jeans, but 8% feel disgusted. That's according to a new jeans survey.
The number one trend women want to go away and never come back:super-low-waisted jeans (others include ripped jeans, jeggings, and skinny jeans). Jeans are also common in the workplace, with more than half (58%) of women working full-time in the office saying they wear jeans to work. Half of them do this one day a week, but more than a quarter of women (27%) wear jeans to the office just about every day.
The average age of the oldest pair of jeans in a woman's closet is 6 years old. One fifth of women (20%) say they have owned at least one pair of jeans for 10 years or more. Women usually wash their jeans after wearing them 2-3 times and almost a third (30%) wash their jeans every time they wear them.
