This barbaric word designates the space between the waistband of the jeans and the V-shaped seam above the pockets. The higher this seam is placed, the more the jeans will give the impression of firm and plump buttocks.
Flat buttocks, we prefer low waists. Round buttocks, we opt for high or normal sizes.
They must be perfectly proportioned with the rest of the figure, which is why their placement and size are decisive. A pocket that is too small will give the impression that you have huge buttocks. Same thing for the too short, while the too long make the buttocks flat (which works perfectly, on the other hand, for an androgynous look à la Cheap Monday). Ditto, the further apart the pockets, the more pronounced the “beautiful buttocks” effect. For slightly larger buttocks, you can go so far as to try jeans without back pockets.
The thinner the denim, the less support there is and therefore less shape. That's why we don't exceed 2% Lycra (or elastane) in the composition, otherwise the canvas will relax and it will crease.
Beautiful buttocks are a question of visual effect and balance of the silhouette. So, if we are small, a flare cut will tend to pack us down. If you are round, we do not recommend slim. In all cases, we prefer cuts that make the thigh thin:the more it is fitted, the more the buttocks are highlighted.
