Jiehaa, the cowboy boot trend is fully visible again, count me in!

From the moment I saw them in the store again, it started to itch. The cowboy boots are completely trendy again and they should not be missing in my closet! Although they have never really been 'out of fashion', the feeling of 'before' now immediately rears its head. I don't know if my past is any different from yours. But when I was about 20 years old, you hardly saw anything other than cowboy boots with us! Ladies and gentlemen!

Reviving trends; cowboy boots are allowed again!

And I love it so much! All my life I have been saying that I was born in the wrong time. I should have been born somewhere on the prairie when the only means of transportation was a horse and buggy. I think it is. Although I would also miss some modern conveniences of today and the ladies probably didn't wear cowboy boots at all in those days. But when I allow myself to dream away, it's to that kind of time.

Time to catch up

Fortunately, there are also other possibilities to experience the atmosphere of horses, tough men and clacking boots. And that, of course, starts with cowboy boots. I don't know if you're a freak like me, but if you are, then you probably hear that these boots sound different when you walk on them than other boots. They don't just look cool, they sound cool too!

In my dark past I wore these kind of boots with worn-out jeans (damn… they are back in now too) and a knotted handkerchief around my ankle, now I have to miss out on the handkerchief. I still like it, but I haven't seen that trend again and I suspect a sneer when I show myself on the street like this.

So it stays with the cowboy boots, a partly worn-out jeans, and with a little luck a nice hat. Although the latter gives even more atmosphere, it does depend on the rest of the outfit.

How do you wear cowboy boots?

Of course you have to know how to wear them yourself, but personally I think they look best with slightly worn jeans or with a cool dress.

Cowboy boots with jeans

If you opt for the jeans, then they must be skinny jeans that also fit snugly around your lower leg. Or you can choose a model with flared legs and wear your cowboy boots underneath. Here are some examples of cool outfits.

I personally don't like the idea of stuffing your slightly wider jeans into your cowboy boots!

Cowboy boots with a dress

You can choose to combine a cheerful dress with bare legs and cool boots in the spring or autumn. Or you go for the winter look with thick tights or tights. That is also fine. Below are some examples of how you can wear the cowboy boots with, for example, a romantic dress.

If you have striking cowboy boots (are they also less striking than 😛 ? ), choose to keep the rest of your outfit basic. We don't want a fair, but one or two striking items! How do you find those blue boots below? Crazy isn't it!

My cowboy boots

The cowboy boots I recently fell for are the "cautious" kind. Not very striking, which makes them very easy to combine. They are a bit contagious because they are suede, so I want to be a little careful with them. Although  these types of boots have one big advantage:cowboy boots are the only boots that are also 'knocked down and old' still very cool to see! They might even be more beautiful! Below I wear them with tight jeans. I've also worn them with a camouflage print dress, also great. You can really vary a lot with these boots from Sacha.nl.

The other pair of cowboy boots I still have in my closet is already one of the striking kind. I recently wore them to the Oktoberfest here in the village 😉 , but I also like to wear them with a black outfit, or indeed a white dress. Below is a photo of our Oktoberfest outfit, not of the best quality but in this case we dedicate that to the photographer, sorry!

If I had tons of money, I'd buy some striking boots that wouldn't look out of place with a few spurs around them. Nice in a few bright colors, and a few even black ones!
