Recently, a test has been done on lip balms in Belgium which showed that there are few safe lip balms to use. The majority of lip balms contain mineral oils that can be harmful if you ingest them. These are the harmful substances MOSH (Mineral Oil Saturated Hydrocarbons) and MOAH (Mineral Oil Aromatic Hydrocarbons). With normal use in make-up worn on the skin, these mineral oils are not harmful, but once ingested they can pose a risk to your health.
If you want to know which lip balms are not safe to use, check the site of the Belgian Consumer Association. They tested 21 lip balms, of which quite a few came out poorly. The standard brands such as Labello, Vaseline, Yves Rocher but also Maybelline Babylips appear to contain the mineral oils and it is therefore better to leave them on the shelves. Fortunately, you won't find it in the Goodiebox either.

The Hema care is a safe lip balm if you look at the researched minor oils. These are not present in this lip balm. This is not to say that this lip balm cannot contain ingredients that can cause an allergic reaction. This could be due to one of the ingredients, but this does not pose a risk to your health.
