Is it time for a critical look in your make-up bag?
1. Creamy eyeshadow
Creamy eyeshadows, often with a lot of shine, are better avoided as you get older. This eyeshadow structure settles into the fine lines faster.
2. Products of which alcohol is one of the main ingredients
In the past, a tonic with alcohol may have made your skin less oily, but as you get older, the skin often gets drier and alcohol can make your skin even drier and cause flakes. Does that bother you? Then it is worth checking the ingredients list.
3. Lipstick too dark
Do your lips seem less full than a few years ago? Don't try to disguise that by filling your lips with a lipstick that is too dark. A black dress undresses, making your body appear slimmer. A dark lipstick gives the same effect, while in most cases we want our lips to appear fuller.
4. Coarse scrub
A mature skin renews itself less quickly, and therefore recovers less quickly. Furthermore, your skin becomes thinner and more sensitive. A scrub with coarse pieces is then too intense for the skin. Rather opt for a peeling.
5. Mattifying compact powder
Powder penetrates more easily into fine lines, making them more noticeable. Do you want to mattify your face? Then a transparent (translucent) powder is a solution.
