Want a smooth organic cream for your face?
Most creams found on the market leave the skin dry or too oily.
Worse, sometimes it feels like the skin can't breathe.
And I'm not talking about the price of these creams:it's ruin!
Fortunately, there is an easy recipe for homemade moisturizing and nourishing face and hand cream.
All it takes is a few natural, easy-to-find ingredients. Watch:
Contents
- 250 ml of aloe vera gel
- 100 g of beeswax
- 100 ml sweet almond oil
- 1 teaspoon of vitamin E
- 15 drops of essential oil
- bowl
- measuring cup (made of glass)
- blender or hand blender
- pan
- spatula
- 300 ml glass jar
Preparation: 15 mins - Cooking: 10 mins
1. In the bowl, mix the aloe vera gel, vitamin E and essential oils.
2. Reserve for later, so that the mixture is well at room temperature.
3. Put the grated beeswax and almond oil in the measuring cup.
4. Place the measuring cup in a pot of water and bring the water to a boil.
5. Heat, stirring occasionally, until the beeswax is completely melted.
6. Remove the glass from the pan without burning yourself.
7. Pour the mixture into the blender and let it cool slightly. It must remain soft in order to proceed to step 8.
8. Once the mixture has cooled, put the mixer on the slowest speed.
9. Add the aloe vera mixture little by little, slowly and continuously.
10. Stop the mixer as often as necessary to pass the spatula around the sides and put the ingredients back in the middle.
If the mixture is runny on top, stir with a spatula. This step can take up to 10-15 minutes, so be patient!
11. Continue blending until desired consistency is achieved.
12. Transfer the moisturizer to clean jars and store in the fridge.
And There you go ! Your homemade moisturizer for the face is already ready :-)
Easy, fast and natural, right?
This cream deeply moisturizes the skin of the face, but also that of the hands and body.
No more tightness and the "lizard skin" effect that we all hate!
It is suitable for sensitive, problem or redness-prone skin.
Vitamin E oil is a natural preservative, but it does not keep indefinitely.
So I leave the main jar in the fridge, and I fill a small jar regularly that stays in the bathroom.
The cream does not change smell, consistency or color for almost eight months if stored at room temperature.
However, this should be avoided, as bacteria can begin to grow quickly.
I tested different blends of essential oils in this homemade moisturizing lotion recipe. My favorite:the lavender, lemon and eucalyptus mix.
To achieve the right consistency and emulsion, patience is key.
Be sure to push any leftover ingredients to the side in the middle for the blades to stir them perfectly.
If you don't have a mixer/blender, you can very well use an immersion blender.
After making your homemade cream, scrape the residue in the blender and on the utensils before cleaning them. You can do it with your hands.
Wipe the blender thoroughly with old rags or a paper towel.
This prevents oils and beeswax from clogging the sink drains.
Fill the blender halfway with water, and add a few drops of dishwashing liquid. Start the mixer at full speed for a few minutes.
Add a little sea salt to the blender to scour it and loosen any leftover product if necessary.
Then, clean the blender and utensils with warm soapy water.
