Easy, fast and efficient, don't you think?
No more crocodile skin and you'll have very soft skin!
A real beneficial balm for your skin ready in 5 minutes.
All you have to do is use it like a classic nourishing cream on the body.
As it is oil-based, it is ultra hydrating, much more so than water-based lotions.
You don't need to put on a lot to have soft, well-hydrated skin.
It also has a much longer shelf life than other homemade body moisturizer recipes.
Indeed, all the ingredients that compose it are stable and it does not contain water.
- Mini glass jars or a metal box are perfect for storing your moisturizer. Alternatively, you can grab an old body cream, clean it well, and reuse it. But beware of plastic containers:the mixture is quite hot when you pour it into the container and the plastic could melt.
- However, pump bottles are not suitable for this cream.
- Even if this cream keeps very well, use it within 6 months of its manufacture to take advantage of all its moisturizing properties.
- This cream is also multifunctional. As it is really very moisturizing and nourishing, it is also ideal for baby diaper rash, eczema and the prevention of stretch marks.
Now that you've mastered the basic recipe, have fun customizing your lotion according to your skin type, condition and desired scent.
There are endless variations, but here are my favorites:
- Baby lotion:infuse sweet almond oil with calendula and chamomile before making the lotion.
- Cream for sore muscles:add peppermint, wintergreen and ginger for sore muscles.
- Anti-aging face lotion:use argan oil and add essential oils of lavender and patchouli.
- Lavender and vanilla scented lotion - add a few drops of lavender and a little natural vanilla extract.
