A handbag contains more bacteria than a toilet bowl (Source:Initial UK).
Indeed, by dint of carrying it everywhere, it picks up thousands of bacteria and deteriorates more.
In collaboration with Helpling, here are the 7 rules to remember so that our “ it bag” remains sublime as on the 1st day!
#1 First of all, avoid putting it on the ground. To do this, invest in an aesthetic and practical bag hook.
#2 Clean the interior regularly. This is an opportunity to remove tissues, bus tickets and other papers that may accumulate there.
#3 Avoid baby wipes to remove stains from leather bags:they can damage the fabric and the color of the latter. Instead, rub it with a cloth dipped in a mixture of soap and warm water.
#4 For ink stains, quickly find a product suitable for the fabric and follow the instructions carefully so as not to make the situation worse. If that doesn't work, go to a specialist rather than insist.
#5 For grease stains, do not use water:not only is it useless, but you also risk spreading the stain by rubbing. Again, use suitable products depending on the material of it.
#6 Before using any product, test it on a small hidden area to see how the fabric reacts.
#7 Keep your favorite accessory in a “bag to bag”. It will keep it away from the sun (which can cause it to rub off) and dust. If you don't have one, a simple pillowcase will do.
