On the sidelines of an auction, the profits of which will go to the "Prévention Routière" association, 65 reflective yellow vests have been revamped by renowned designers.
The reflective yellow vest, compulsory in all vehicles since July 1, 2008, everyone knows and knows that it can save life in the event of an accident. For an awareness campaign, Karl Lagerfeld had not hesitated some time ago to pose with the famous safety vest with the slogan:"It's yellow, it's ugly, it doesn't go with anything but it can save your life" . Today, Alison Vonthron, a student at the Graduate Institute of Arts, and Pauline Heude, have in turn decided to raise awareness with the "Yellow Work Art" campaign, intended for road safety.
After calling on designers, gallery owners and auctioneers, all volunteers, they offered to the artists to customize the yellow vest to make it a couture and trendy object. Thus, under the creative impulse of The Kooples, Chantal Thomass, Marithé + François Girbaud, or even Stella Cadente, the cardigan has in turn become a bikini, dress, bag, hat and even a painting!
Note that these 65 "couture" vests will then be presented in a Parisian gallery, then auctioned off for the benefit of the "Prévention Routière" association.
