The English women's site Byrdie recently took an interest in the beauty habits of women around the world, and in particular the haircuts they adopt the most. The site conducted a real survey, searching through international magazines, the Instagram accounts of beauty influencers, but also by interviewing beauty professionals, in order to obtain answers for 10 countries. So, which hairstyle do French women, Americans, Russians, South Africans or Australians adopt the most? We give you the answer!
In the country of kangaroos, women seem to prefer the long square, "layered, with the parting in the middle, with or without bangs" according to Lisa Patulny, journalist for the Australian version of Byrdie.
Brazilian women, although specialists in smoothing, now prefer to wear their natural curls, as we often saw at the last Fashion Week in Sao Paulo.
Among the English, the square, long or short, remains the favorite haircut. "The bob has been hugely popular for a while, it's one of the hairstyles that suits most women, easy to style and maintain," said Amy Lawrenson, Byrdie UK's editor, who urges skip the curling iron in favor of texturizing spray for a more natural cut.

According to Vogue Italia magazine, more and more Italian women are adopting the “shag” cut, that is to say a rock cut that stops at the shoulders, with wild locks or a loose bang on the sides of the front.
According to Byrdie, in the land of the rising sun, the blunt bob seems to have conquered the Japanese. This symmetrical cut, short, with roughly cut lengths, and often accompanied by the blunt fringe (stopping just above the eyebrows) is increasingly worn among women.

Braids and weaves are in the shadow of natural, kinky and afro hair in South Africa, according to Byrdie. Women would also do more sculptural haircuts, highlighting their natural texture.
Among Russian women, as Byrdie says, the trend is for "don't care hair", a slightly layered and mid-length cut, easy to style.
