Summer is almost over, so we are looking forward to what the cozy autumn/winter season will bring us in terms of clothing. Last fall we were more than happy to wrap ourselves in sweatpants and pretty pajamas while working from home, but this year we want to put together outfits that are a little more fashionable as we go back to the office more often, visit restaurants and spend time with our friends. Together with fashion designer Janice – who describes his new collection in one word as “quality” – we look at the items you want to have in your closet by autumn 2021.
If there's one thing the pandemic may have taught us about fashion, it's that cozy, soft clothes feel good. Knitwear is therefore a must in your autumn wardrobe. Think of lovely warm sweaters, cardigans and dresses of good quality such as cashmere, merino wool and alpaca wool. And don't forget a soft scarf either.
Skinny jeans will always have a special place in our hearts, but for fall 2021, looser styles like mom jeans, flares, bootcuts and boyfriend jeans are the way to go. Mom jeans in particular are one of the most popular silhouettes. Wear it with a T-shirt and a fitted blazer or an elegant blouse.
Animal prints keep coming and going, but right now we're seeing chic, calm prints… think paisley, panther and giraffe prints. Combine animal print with other vibrant prints or go simple and let it steal the show with a solid black, white or gray sweater, pants or skirt.
It's time to get all the leather out of your closet, as fall 2021 fashion trends predict a leather revival! From black leather jackets, blouses, pants and skirts, to neutral colors like beige and brown, to colorful leather like red and green, this season is all about leather looks.
Really, who would have thought that so many of us would be so desperate to get back to the normal daily grind and our “work” clothes? In the not-so-distant past, many of us lived for the time when we could take off our everyday work clothes to make way for comfortable clothes. But now the appeal and allure of customization is all too strong, and suits are taking the first place. The familiar suit has been given a makeover. Traditionally, the style consists of a combination of blazer and trousers. For the fall of 2021 we see this look in the form of long, stylish wool coats. This way you always look chic and stylish outside as a power woman.
We all need a little luxury. Although we will now lean more towards smaller items, such as beautiful lingerie, jewelry or a nice lipstick, we are already looking forward to the end of the year parties with much needed freedom, glitz and glamour. Sequins, metallics and silks should put us all in a dreamy state.
