Do flakes appear on your care containing shea butter? It's normal ! Shea butter crystallizes due to temperature changes! Know that the effectiveness of our minima[list] balm remains the same and is even a guarantee of quality! We explain everything to you!
Do you really know where shea butter comes from? Shea butter comes from the nuts present on the shea tree, a sacred emblematic tree of the West African savannas. About 15 meters high and can be more than a meter wide, this tree is a real gold mine!
Does shea butter really work? This butter of natural origin is rich in vitamins A, D, E and F which have nutritive, regenerating, softening, moisturizing and antioxidant properties for the skin! That's not all ! This natural butter is also rich in fatty acids, better known as Omega 3, 6 and 9. These fatty acids have the advantage of penetrating deep into the layers of the skin to hydrate and nourish it. Finally, it is composed of unsaponifiables which make it possible to soften and regenerate the cutaneous fiber. Adopt it in your daily beauty routine, say goodbye to your dry skin, you won't be disappointed!
Its appearance may vary naturally. It will tend to be more liquid when it is warm and to crystallize when temperatures are low.
His only weak point? its melting point. The melting point corresponds to the temperature at which the balm in the solid state becomes liquid. The melting point of butter is around 28°C. As soon as the heat arrives, the shea butter will tend to melt and the fatty acids present will disperse and separate from each other. And as we explained to you above, shea butter has different fatty acids which each have different melting points! When the balm cools, some fatty acids crystallize faster than others and will create the appearance of small grains. But this phenomenon is a guarantee of quality which proves that our butter has not been melted with solvents or other chemical products!
If you want our moisturizing body balm to regain a smooth texture, use the bain-marie method! Just wait until all the grains have melted and then place the balm in the fridge for 30 minutes! The solidification of our balm is done quickly and allows the fatty acids not to form small grains, and therefore to be more pleasant during its use!
Otherwise, you just need to take a small dab of your balm and put it in the palm of your hand. On contact with your skin, the balm will melt and the grains will disappear. This will allow you to feel no discomfort during application!
For your balm to retain its original texture, we advise you to keep your butter away from heat and humidity. Ideally, keep it in a place at room temperature or keep it in a cool place.
As you will have understood, our 100% natural balm is full of benefits, and the grains that form do not call into question its effectiveness! On the contrary, it justifies its quality!
