My old geography teacher will definitely not read this blog. He wore his sandals in the same way as standard. Goat wool socks in, add shorts and an itchy sweater, and the look was done. Although you can't really call that a look, of course. It's better to leave out those white socks anyway... But what is a cool 'sandal outfit'?
It is precisely because of that rather wrong combination that sandals have actually gotten a bit of a bad name. A shame, because there are so many nice models to score! Your look is much more than just the clothes you wear. Your shoes, but of course also your accessories and the 'finish' determine how you look. You may wear bracelets more often, but when it's sandals time, it's also fun to turn your ankles into real eye-catchers. You can't do that alone by going for a striking sandal. It is also nice to combine your sandal outfit with an ankle strap. Go for a fine ankle strap like this one to create a subtle eye-catcher, or go for a coarser striking piece like the one above if you prefer a colorful effect.
Do sandals always give you that nice feeling of freedom? A little hippie-esque? Then you will also appreciate a colorful, hippie-like sandal outfit! Go for a nice long skirt (with floral print for example), a maxi dress or airy baggy pants. Or combine it with nice shorts and a colorful top.
There are also a lot of sandals available that are very colorful in themselves, which is great!
Beautiful, all that color! But on a hot summer day, white is perhaps the nicest color to wear as a sandal outfit.
Do you want to show off your brown skin? Then leave your colorful outfit behind for a day and go for white. Although those goat wool socks are a real no go, sandals do combine very nicely with a white outfit. Turn the legs slightly as in the example above.
Also nice:white pants with a stripe, for example these that we found in the Geisha sale. On hotter days you can also go for linen pants, which let a lot of air through.

Enjoy on a terrace or a day at the water. Summer is still a fantastic season. Although I still have to make myself 'sun-ready'.
